Suddenly I See: Hawaiian Honeymoon Days Five and Six (Kauai and Maui)

I didn't blog yesterday because we spent most of the day at the Kauai airport. We had to return our car around noon and our flight wasn't until 4pm. The car rental place was not helpful on that front. And then our flight got delayed three times and left two hours late. In other words we were at the the airport for about six hours. That sucked but won't dwell on that.

Before we went to the airport yesterday we did have breakfast at the hotel again and then went swimming in the great pools at the resort. We went on the slide and did some cannonballs. We really had a great time at the hotel there.

When we finally got to Maui we went to WalMart to get supplies for our stay. We settled in at the hotel and took a small walk on the beach (in the dark). Mostly Rodger walked because I tripped on the bottom of the stair handle and hurt my foot.

This morning we went to the beach in front of our hotel. We really just love it here. This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and they are so nice here and it's so convenient to have the beach in front. The water is so nice and warm.

The mattress in our hotel room was really hard and when I asked if they could replace it they said they couldn't but that they could change our room. They upgraded us from a one bedroom suite to a two bedroom suite with ocean views. It's so beautiful.

This afternoon we went snorkeling at Kapalua Beach which we hadn't been to before. It was great. The beach was beautiful and warm and the water was really calm. We saw a lot of fish including a school of fish that kept jumping up to the surface and back down into the water.
