I am at my Mom's house because she has power. We don't and most of Monrovia doesn't either. Our power went out this morning around 1am during the craziest windstorm I have ever seen. It was so dark in our apartment. I am not used to sleeping in the pitch black, it was just as dark with my eyes open as it was with them closed.
When we woke up there were leaves and debris everywhere but nothing compared to other places. If you drive around there are light poles broken, street lights leaning over, power lines down, and trees literally uprooted. I think the block by my work got some of the worst of the storm. The power lines are all down and they blocked off the entire street. My work doesn't have power and probably won't for about five days. I worked from my Mom's house today, not sure what the plan is for the rest of the time.
Here are some pictures of the windstorm.
The wind is supposed to kick up again tonight and we still have no power and our food in the refrigerator and freezer has gone bad. So in other words everyone come over, party at our house.

This might have been fun at first, but now it is just plain getting old!
Hope you have power when you get home
