Hawaii Day Five: Oahu

It was a relaxing day for us today. We didn't do too much.

This morning we went to the Aloha Tower Marketplace. Basically it is this tower as shown in the picture below and then there is a surrounding mall. We went up to the top of the tower and there were some really nice views.

View from the top of the port below.

The tower from the bottom up.

We ate lunch by the port. This is one of the Matson boats that ships to Hawaii. It's the company that my work ships our freight with. Exciting to me, at least.

After lunch we head back to Lanakai, which is the beach that we enjoyed a lot when we went on Saturday. It was much more crowded today but the water was still really nice and we had fun.

There was a fire in the mountains somewhere on Oahu and you could see it from Lanakai. It seems like they got it put out pretty quickly because it didn't look like this for too long.

This is one of the houses on Lanikai. How would you like to live there? Probably very nice when there aren't a ton of tourists around. There is no parking lot for this beach so you have to park in front of people's yards along the street.

Tonight we walked around Waikiki again and ate and a food truck down the street from our hotel. These food trucks are great, better than a lot of the restaurant food that we have eaten, and cheaper as well.

Tomorrow we leave for Maui bright and early and we are going to attempt the Road to Hana.

Goodnight!

You should probably be able to write off your trip now that you have gone to the port to check things out. Be sure and talk to Chris about that when you get home. Have a great flight to Maui and will talk to you soon.

I saw that on Perez Hilton. She is probably at the Grand Wailea which is on the other side of the island but I am still going to keep an eye out for her.
