Love the skin your in

And I do love the skin I am in, it just happens to be an extremely itchy skin right now. Well for the past couple of weeks actually. Everywhere, head to toe itches. My scalp, my arms, my stomach, my legs. All over. Must be the weather because the allergies are acting up to and I have unfortunate pimple/zits on my face. What's a girl to do?

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
Products, products, products.

I have the Dove Moisturizing Beauty Bar, $12 face lotion, the Lubiderm lotion, the Vaseline for my lips. Considering the Head and Shoulders. Should I be admitting that? I doubt I will but just considering it makes me laugh. Head and Shoulders always reminds me of my grandparents. When I was younger and would spend the night at their house that's the shampoo they would have in the shower. So I always associate it with older people. Plus I really love my Aussie shampoo/conditioner. But my head itches. I like the Lubiderm, smells good, was somewhat expensive so I feel like it should be working. I mostly bought the face lotion to help with the sun lines on my face. No real progress yet but I felt with my 27th bday approaching it was time to move forward from the Clearasil face lotion. That Dove bar is a miracle worker, or just magic I'm not sure which. Seems like a white soap bar would do nothing but dry out your skin but I use that bad boy on my face every night and feel fresh as a daisy.

Even with all these products I can't shake this dry skin. Any suggestions?

In the mean time I'll be stimulating the economy buying moisturizers.

Katie with zits? I'd have to see it to believe it.

I LOVE the Dove bar. I started using it my freshman year in college and never looked back. It is the best. I use the unscented kind (I think now it's called "Sensitive Skin"). I don't moisturize my face or use sunblock (except when I'm going to be outside for more than an hour or so) but I should probably start, what with these advancing years.

Also, can't beat Aquaphor for moisturizing. I have a big jar of it. I like it better than Vaseline. I use a layer of hydrocortisone cream under a layer of Aquaphor on the kids' faces at night, especially when they have super-dry skin now that it's winter and they both have pacifiers at night, which irritates their little cheeks. It's greasy but in the morning their faces are perfect! I got the tip from Dawn--she and her kids have extremely dry skin year-round.

Good luck!

Also my friend has the highest praise for Curel for dry hands. I haven't tried it. I always liked Aveeno body lotion when I was a lifeguard, used it daily.

Thanks Eliza! I am going to try the Aquaphor. I used to use Curel too. I think I am just too cheap and got out of the habit of buying it.

The next time I see you I will probably still have this zit on my chin. It seems to be making reoccuring appearances.

Thanks for the tips.
