Are you there Blog?

It's me KCrizzle.

and Sushi.

It's been a over a week since I have blogged. No real good reason unless laziness is a good reason. Oh and we were in Vegas last weekend so I couldn't blog then. But Vegas will get a well deserved blog post of its own. I also still need to blog about the Dodger game I went to and of course "The Cooking Experiment".

I have also been budgeting lately. This is a bit new to me. That's not to say that I have always had enough money to spend it on whatever I wanted it's just that after I pay my bills I don't really worry about spending the rest of my money however I want. But since I bought Betsy I have had to tighten the purse strings a bit. Along with that I am trying to spend less and save more. So on our drive to Vegas Rodger and I talked over some budgeting strategies. As I only get paid once a month my plan is to pay all my bills and then take out a certain amount of cash each week and only spend that and once it's gone I can't spend anymore till the following week. I like this because normally I never take out any cash and then I am just using my debit card all of the time and not really keeping track of how much I am spending. When I use cash I really have to think of it as money. With only a set amount of cash I can use every week then there will be a specific amount left over every month to go into my savings account. This is the first week and so far it's working out pretty well. Of course, it's not the weekend yet and I haven't really gone anywhere that I would have to spend money. But I am going to give it a shot and teach myself to be more disciplined with money.

That's about it.
Now I think I am going to drink some Capri sun, eat some cookies, watch some "Law and Order" that's on the DVR and go to sleep.

Good night!

Sounds like a good plan to me. Also, guess we know where Stan and Moe get their problems with getting their claws stuck. I will always remember Moe sitting with his claw stuck in the drape waiting for someone to come rescue him. Not the brightest bulb!

Super bright!

I could never do this and thus the reason that I do not have a savings worth mentioning. So sad, but I never carry cash and would not know what to do with a budget. I pay my bills and then hope for the best!

Love my life! Oh and I spent $150 on the way home tonight at Target. Wish me luck on the weekend spending...

"I pay my bills and then hope for the best!" Love it!

I spent $50.00 at Target today so budget idea didn't exactly plan out this week but it's a work in progress. And I haven't spent all my cash yet. Start over next week.
