DVR + KMC = BFF

I am in love with my DVR.

Just when I think that I can't love television any more it gets kicked up a notch. I can record every episode of Law and Order if I feel like it. Put that with the Law and Order I get from Netflix and it's just Jerry Orbach or Christopher Meloni all day every day around these parts. May have to modify the Netflix.

Commercials are so early 2000s. I am always late to the technology game so I know that I am behind in the DVR game. But that comes with the territory. I just got a digital camera two years ago, I still have a huge computer screen, and two old televisions. No flat screens for me. But I am telling you, no commercials is the way to go. I just watched "Keeping up with the Kardashians" in 20 minutes. I feel much better about wasting 20 minutes than 30 minutes.

It's become a nightly routine to decide what I am going to record the next day. God help me I have not started recording "Days of Our Lives" yet. I am giving it some deep thought if I should start down that road because the name of that road is "No Turning Back" and the cross street is "How Can Elvis Jr Dimera Be Older than Me?"

Oh and The Rodge has "Take Home Chef" on series record. It's a party around here.

So no more deciding between "Dancing with the Stars" and "John & Kate Plus 8". And, I can watch "Say Yes to the Dress" to my heart's content.

Now I just need to figure out how to get Time Warner to let me have this DVR for free for longer than three months.

You should forward your blog to Time Warner and I am pretty sure they could use it as an advertisement and pay you with free DVR service.

Just threaten to cancel the entire service aftern the 3 months and they may throw in the DVR for free.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the DVR... Mind you we mostly record Seinfeld, Arrested Development and Star Trek.. But every so often I remember that we have it and I record the hell out of Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

By the way, Paul thinks that the lead is slow, mentally. How mean! No love!

I remember before I got DVR how I didn't think I would ever usre it. Now I get frustrated trying to watch tv in real time. Planning the next days recordings is a highlight of my day as well. Welcome to the darkside, Katie; there is no turning back.
