Christmas 2008

I know I am late on posting about this year's Christmas. But here are the highlights and some pictures.

I had a nice 5 day weekend. Well I worked for a few hours on Christmas Eve morning and then I was off until the following Monday. I loved it! For the past couple of years I have had to work the day after Christmas and that's no fun so I really enjoyed not having to this year.

The festivities for Christmas started off on Christmas Eve when we all went to my grandparents. As the gift to my grandparents my cousin Matt, Vickie, and I all made dinner. We made Chicken Parmesan and it was great. Matt actually made most of it but I did pitch in. After that was the annual walk, presents, and dessert. It was a really nice night.
Matt and Vickie, this picture makes me smile.

My Mom always hands out the presents. She loves it, LOL!

Isn't my Grandpa so cute?

The newly married couple's first Christmas as husband and wife.

Cousin picture- we forgot to take it before Cory left. Next year we will get one with all five of us in it.

The festivities continued Christmas morning when Paul and Vickie and Rodger came over. It was the first time that Paul and Rodger came to Christmas morning. It was so fun to have everyone open presents together. It really was a great time. My mom and Vickie supplied the breakfast and it was a fun and relaxing Christmas morning.

The annual Christmas morning picture on the stairs.

One of my Mom's Christmas presents- Tim McGraw calendar. Can't go wrong with that.

Rodger opening the watch I got him.

I gave this tie to my dad, I guess he liked it.

The blanket I made for Moe.

We watched the Yule Log while opening presents.

My mom should have been in this picture, I guess she took it instead.

Paul and Rodger got in on the matching pajamas, a Creekmur Christmas tradition.

Alter the Christmas morning celebration Paul and Rodger went home (well there separate homes) and the rest of us went to my Grandma Creekmur's house. I forgot my camera so I have no pictures of this event but rest assured it was a great time. I have a very funny family and the laughs kept coming.

Some funny parts of the Christmas festivities-

-Arriving at my Grandma and Grandpa's house on Christmas Eve and there being some girl and a dog in a Santa suit there. My grandma said it was her Christmas present. Then the girl turned out to be her neighbor but I heard my grandma asking her name. That was weird and frankly I'm still a little hazy about that whole situation.

-Towards the end of Christmas Eve talking about how many cars we all brought. My aunt counted seven and said "Seven cars to bring eight people, not bad." Well it was more like seven cars to bring eleven people but still that's funny. Such a "Green" family we are.

-When my Dad was handing out presents on Christmas morning he yelled out "Who's Nut?". Guess I wrote Rodger's nickname on one of the present labels. Funny to me, probably embarrassing to Rodger.

-At my Grandma Creekmur's on Christmas Vickie and my cousin Lindsey got all the girls the same warm socks from Bath and Body works. Two of my cousins even got two of the exact same pair. What are the chances of that? There nice socks though so I am sure no one minded getting two pair.

- My cousin Brandon's wife Whitney gave my Grandma a hug after she opened a Christmas present from her. Vickie said "Sit down new girl". Guess we are not big huggers over there. But when we left we all hugged so maybe Whitney is wearing off on us. That's a good thing, I think.

-My Dad and my cousins and my uncle having a push up contest after the presents were unwrapped. Lots of red faces.

It was a great Christmas! Already looking forward to next year's celebrations. What can I say? I just love the holidays.

Christmas hugs and kisses!
