A few of my favorite moments from watching the Grammy Red Carpet with my parents last night-
My mom referring to Akon as Acorn. Very funny.
My dad asking "What's a Fergie?"
My parents discussing Flo 'Rida for a very good amount of time. They decided he wanted his name to be Florida but he must have looked at a map with a fold in the middle of the name and came up with Flo 'Rida. They also decided that they should have had a son so they could name him Flo 'Rida.
My parents are pretty funny!
I watched some of the actual Grammy show and decided I really have no idea who anybody new in music is. I enjoyed the performance of "Let it Be". I just saw the part of "Across the Universe" with that it in. I really like the gospel aspect of it. I think I might want to see the rest of the movie just to hear the songs. The plot looks pretty strange and Evan Rachel Wood creeps me out so I am still debating about putting it on my Netflix. I also liked Tina Turner adnd Beyonce's duet of "Proud Mary". At any rate, I didn't really know that many people at the Grammys. To be honest, though, I really didn't watch much of the actual awards show.
A couple more points-
Please don't let this girl be the next Britney Spears. I really can't believe anyone let her leave the house with that hair. I don't know much about her but I will say that I love her duet with her dad. I know it's cheesy but I really love it.
Oh and how pretty does Fergie look? I love the color of her dress!

Seriously, Katie, where did children make fun of their parents before there were blogs? I thought you said Acorn, I didn't just make it up. Also, I really do like the whole Flo-rida thing. I'm just saying our next kitten better watch out, because that is going to be his name!
I wasn't making fun of you guys. I just thought it was funny and that other people might think it was funny also.
Miley Cyrus is totally the next Britney. She might have had a chance before her dad went on Oprah and gave magazine interviews talking about how his daughter was raised right so we won't see her acting out like those other Hollywood girls. Between that tempt of fate and her declaring she will save her virginity for marraige, I smell a train wreck within 3 years.

By the way Mom spells Flow Rida as if it is Florida broken up.
I thought that's the way it was spelled also. Haha!
