There is a new Citizenship test and I thougt it the questions were kind of interesting. Give them a try and see how well you do. I did okay. (Well actually pretty well.)
Who is in charge of the executive branch?
Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
Name one of the two longest rivers in the United States.
How many justices are on the Supreme Court?
What is the name of the Speaker of the House of Representatives now?
Name the U.S. war between the North and the South.
Why does the flag have 13 stripes?
Name one U.S. territory.
What did Susan B. Anthony do?
Who was president during World War I?
**These are just ten of the questions. I found them on AOL and you can look up the answers here- http://news.aol.com/story/ar/_a/new-test-asks-what-american-means/20070929113709990001?ncid=NWS00010000000001**

woooo hoo! I feel so patriotic...the only question I got wrong was I said 8 justices instead of 9.
Just thought I would brag, I mean share.
I read one time that only a third of natural born citizens would be able to pass the citizenship test. Sad commentary on our society and public education system.
Just to let you know, I got all ten right. My biggest problem was the Susan B. Anthony question. Kind of went from something with the flag to civil rights for women. Anyway, I don't want to brag either, but I agree with Jennifer. Our priorities are a little skewed. I'm sure any high schooler could answer any question about Brittany or Paris, but what about our government?
Well Britney and Paris are good, fun nonsense.
I feel lucky to have Mr. Cocaro, who instilled a love of history in me. And Britney and Paris weren't that popular yet when I was in high school.
