School Days

In honor of it being "Back to School" season, here are some "First Day of School" pictures of me.

First day of Kindergarten. I am still a fan of the side ponytail.

Vickie and I on the first day of 7th and 5th grade, respectivly
Vickie will love that I posted this picture. That's one of her favorite hairstyles. Till this day family members still comment on how they liked that cut. It was a smart look. hehe

First day of 8th grade. The first and last year I wore uniforms. The socks and pulled tight hair are a good look.

The Perks of Living at Home

I get to hear my parent's conversations.

Mom: So Scott Baio was on the news this morning and he was saying......
Dad: Scott WHO?
Me: You know, Scott Baio, 45 and single.

It Was A HOT One!

This past weekend was a scorcher and it's still pretty warm.

It was nice weather for sitting by the pool though. Nothing like tanning but still being able to jump in the water when it gets to hot and sweety.

On Saturday Rodger and I went to Speed Zone. Good times! I was too scared to go real fast but I still had fun.

Afterwards we went to Marias, where Jenn works and had a great dinner. If you love Italian food (and who doesn't?) then you will like this place. Jenn was nice enough to give us free cheesecake and box it up to go. I wanted her to write my name on it instead of Maria's but she couldn't do that so instead she did this, which I thought was even better.

On Sunday Vickie and Paul came over to have dinner with my parents and me. That was a lot of fun. We went to Applebees where the service sucked but the food was good.

So in summation it was a HOT weekend with a lot of eating.
I am ready for the Fall! I already saw Halloween stuff at Target. I love it!

Busy Busy

Had a very busy but also very fun weekend.

Friday night my mom and I went to the Soul to Soul 2007 Tour.
Tim and Faith were great. They performed until 12:30am without any breaks.
They sang pretty much all of the favorites but didn't repeat too much of what they did last year.
They opened with Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars", which was really great.
It is so fun to watch them sing. They closed with their duet "I Need You" and you can just see how much they love each other and I love watching them sing (well mostly him) so it works out.
My mom and I had a great time.

Saturday Rodger and I went to the beach for my co-worker's son's birthday party.

It was fun but also crowded and windy. I love the beach though so I didn't mind.
That evening my parents, Rodger and I went to see "The Bourne Ultimatum".
I really liked it. It went by super fast and it wasn't too confusing.
I think it was my favorite of all 3 of them. And I like the music they play during the trailer. I am pretty sure that it is Matt Damon singing. After, we had dinner and went to the Chick's Tent Sale.

On Sunday I drove out to Rodger's house and we went to see "Rush Hour 3".It was super funny. I think it was my favorite of this trilogy also.
Rodger and I hung out at his house for awhile after that.

Later that afternoon my parents and I went over to the Terrills for a BBQ and to see Eliza and Theo. We had a great time. Theo got so big, I love it. I don't think he remembered me but that's okay. He was so cute and laughing. Such a cute little guy.
It was really nice to see Eliza and visit with her family. I can't wait to see her, Matt, and Theo at Christmas time.

So that was my fun-packed weekend. I even watched "Breach" last night, which was really good.

It was a great weekend!

As of late..... (In no particular order)

I was at CVS and saw some black nail polish. I painted one nail while there (that's okay right?) and while it was good quality I decided I am just not the kind of girl that can pull off black nail polish.

I lost my debit card last week, although I am sure it is around the house somewhere. Of course, before I realized it wasn't in my wallet I ate a full meal at the IHOP that I couldn't pay for which resulted in a rude manager rolling her eyes at me and a waitress mouthing the words "it's okay".
So I took out extra cash until my debit card came and relied on checks although H & M does not take checks, which resulted in Rodger buying my clothes. So in summation I got a free meal and two free tops. I might lose my debit card more often.

You may remember me mentioning in my vacation post that a rude lady honked at me on the Oakland Bay Bridge causing me to think that I was in a carpool free toll lane. Not so much. Received a letter in the mail that I owe $29 to the city of San Francisco complete with a picture of my parents' licence plate (we were driving their car). I hate driving on bridges.

Re-discovered my love for Pop Tarts.

Rodger and I are now proud owners of Dunder-Mifflen t-shirts. (We will take a picture and I will post it.)

Watched the first two Bourne movies in preparation for seeing the third one this weekend. They're pretty good. I thought the second one was better than the first.

Looking forward to "Rush Hour 3". Rodger and I have a great love for Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. ("Really I'm a fan of anything Joe Roegan does.")

Went to the Peach Cafe with my cousin, Beth and had my beloved Peach Benedict.

Have been trying to teach Sushi to love other people but she only loves me. (which makes me a lil happy. what can i say, she's not a sell out.)

Toyed with the idea of seeing "El Cantante" but I can wait for the DVD.

Loving that Eliza and T-Bone will be here this weekend.

Why I Love Jenn

(Among many reasons)

Because she calls me in the middle of the day just to see if I know that Shar Jackson has a total of 4 children.
I love it! It brought a smile to my face.

Jenn- Don't hate me for posting this picture of you. I think it's cute.

She makes me laugh non-stop.
